If you're new to the world of drumming we hope the following will help:
Drum Kits usually come in a 5 drum set consisting of Bass Drum, Snare Drum, two Mounted Tom Toms and a Floor Tom. Complete sets are supplied with Stands and Pedals too, a Bass Drum Pedal, Snare Drum Stand, H/Hat Stand, and either one or two Cymbal Stands as pictured. We supply most kits with or without stands and pedals, and usually without Stools or Cymbals. Starter Sets however only come as a complete package with Stands, Pedals and Cymbals. You can add extra drums to most sets but this doesn't always apply to Starter Sets.
The Drums making up a set are available in various sizes. The industry standard size for a Bass Drum is 22" Diameter, and the most popular size kit is the 'Rock Kit' which is a 22" Bass Drum, 12" & 13" Mounted Toms, 16" Floor Tom and a 14" Snare Drum. There are commonly two other size sets with most brands, both referred to as Fusion Kits, these are based around a 22" or 20" Bass Drum with smaller 10" & 12" Mounted Toms and a 14" Mounted Tom or Floor Tom, along with a 14" Snare Drum. These are the three basic options that most brands offer. Making your choice here is usually based around the sound, if you like a big fat deep sounding kit then the Rock Kit is the one to go for. The Fusion Sets give a tighter, slightly higher pitched sound, and with the smaller toms will take up slightly less space than a Rock kit.
We also carry a range of kits based around an 18" Bass Drum, often called 'Jazz' or 'Be Bop' sets, these are great for ease of transport and as everything sits lower on the smaller Bass Drum they're good for younger players who cannot reach a large kit.
